iVideo Technologies Completes a Television Studio for Case Western Reserve University

iVideo Technologies led the design and integration of Case Western Reserve University’s state of the art high-definition television studio. The advanced television studio allows for the recording, editing, and broadcast of events on and off campus. The unique facility was designed and installed to be a “room within a room” layout, providing optimal space use for the client. Today, it is considered one of the most advanced educational television facilities in the country and will prove to be an asset to the university.

The facility includes two Sony HSC-100K cameras, a Miranda multiviewer, and a Grass Valley Trinix router. Over 9 miles of cable was used to complete the facility. In addition the high definition studio consisted of over 550 terminations on nearly 50 custom panels. The shop build up, allowing for minimal customer downtime and consisted of pre-wiring a 160 x 128 3G video router onto 12 patch panels. Additionally, this work included pre-wiring a 160 x 160 audio router onto 15 patch panels. Lastly, iVideo Technologies completed the relocation of CWRU’s Avid edit suite, allowing for the client to save costs by using existing equipment.

Digital Signage Solution for Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation

iVideo Technologies installed an elaborate new digital signage and audio / video system for the largest project in the City of Cleveland’s history. This nearly six month project — which consisted of almost 3,000 iVideo hours — was truly an effort in teamwork. iVideo Technologies digital signage network uses a multiple channel display system which allows users to create display content as they please.

The eye catching video walls and various displays are placed throughout the center and serve as a digital directories, television sets, interactive displays, and information points. In total there are five 3x2 video walls, 90 plus directional signs, 38 meeting room signs, and 43 elevator informational signs to keep visitors informed. This digital information system is considered an asset to the facility.

Taking Collegiate Broadcasting to the Next Level

iVideo Technologies had the distinct pleasure of providing one of our long-standing clients, Ohio University, with an advanced production trailer. The trailer will be used for live streaming different sporting events to ESPN3 and it has the full capability of providing direct programming to ESPN and ESPN2.

From the displays to the headsets, everything was uniquely designed to create a mobile production studio that will generate award winning content. iVideo Technologies also ensured that the custom system would be easy to use for student yet professional enough for international broadcasts. This includes: color-coded wiring, custom cabinets, racks, work stations and personalized manuals so faculty and students alike can utilize the ESPN3 trailer to the fullest extent.

iVideo’s custom design includes Sony cameras, a Ross Video Carbonite switcher, a NK Seriers Ross Video router and a NewTek 3Play replay system. The portal broadcast trailer also included a remote control panel and display monitors. From within the trailer Ohio University can easily toggle between sources using the custom control panels to create quality video packages in real-time that are ready for ESPN3. The ability to create custom graphics is another benefit of iVideo’s custom Ross Video XPression system.

The production trailer has even inspired a change to the curriculum, adding a course where students will be taught how to use the professional-grade equipment and deliver a finished broadcast. Associate Professor for Ohio University, Don Moore, commented on the noteworthy benefits the students will gain, saying, “The knowledge, discipline, and techniques learned in this environment will uniquely prepare students for the challenging sport and media career path.”

iVideo Technologies Completes a Turn-Key A/V & Broadcast Facility for Holy Love Ministries

iVideo Technologies was approached by Holy Love Ministries to provide audio, video and broadcast consultative services for its new facilities in North Ridgeville, Ohio. The opportunity was brought to iVideo Technologies from Holy Love’s in-house project consultant who had previous experience with iVideo Technologies.

Working hand in hand with Holy Love’s religious leaders and the general contractor, iVideo Technologies was able to develop a state-of-the-art multi-media center that spanned across multiple buildings and outdoor shrines across Holy Love’s campus. Within Holy Love’s St. Thomas Aquinas Learning Center, iVideo Technologies developed a complete audio visual system to support two large multi-purpose meeting rooms. Additionally, iVideo Technologies developed an advanced lobby theater and video displays within the cafeteria and bookstore.

Through iVideo Technologies’ consultative process it was determined that Holy Love needed advanced television production tools to better meet the ministries demand for production content and control. Due to this need iVideo Technologies developed a state of the art Avid Nitris HD editing suite, Avid Digidesign Pro Tools HD Recording Studio and a fully functioning control room. Additionally, for the Chapel, iVideo Technologies specified and installed two 10’ x 6’ Draper rear-projection screens, two digital projection Titan II Large-Venue HD projectors, and an infrastructure to support a later-phase television production center. Holy Love’s need for HD digital feeds from building to building as well as to several outdoor venues were accomplished by a sophisticated LAN-based digital HD routing matrix and many channels of fiber-optic to HD-SDI interfaces.

These advanced audio, video and broadcast systems developed by iVideo Technologies have helped Holy Love Ministries to distribute their high definition programming live around the world via the web. Following the completion of the design-build phase, iVideo Technologies has continued to supply Holy Love with on-site technical support, production support, and production equipment rentals.

Kentucky’s Keeneland + Ohio’s iVideo

Keeneland Racecourse is unique in that it is both a thoroughbred race track and auction company. The world renown facility is located in the heart of Kentucky’s famed Bluegrass region and only hires the leading oranizations – as such it hired iVideo Technologies.

In its pursuit to be the best, iVideo developed the first high definition racetrack in the United States. This multi-state, multi-year project included a Kayak switcher, four Grass Valley high definition broadcast cameras, and multiple racking systems. The high definition system included the ability to integrate live feeds with gaming odds and analytics. A customized information technology coding system was developed by iVideo to facilitate the analytics, high definition signaling, and global distribution need.

iVideo Technologies Completes Culinary Arts Facilty for Lorain County Community College

iVideo Technologies assisted Lorain County Community College with the design and installation of the A/V components of their new Culinary Arts Center. The Culinary Arts Center is designed to prepare students for a career in the hospitality industry.

In the lobby iVideo Technologies installed an impressive 3x3 videowall composed of LG LED displays which are controlled by a Crestron V-Panel touch screen.

The Culinary Art Center project included the integration of advanced audio/video technologies in several lecture rooms and training kitchens.

Kitchens were equipped with WallVIEW Camera Systems, a 6K Lumen 1080i Panasonic Projector, and wireless microphones for the instructor.

Video System for expansion of Lifepoint Church

iVideo Technologies provided design, engineering and installation services for an expansion of the Lifepoint church. This specifically included an upgrade to high-definition video, image magnification, and distributed audio and video through the common areas of the church. The goal was to create a professional video system that could be operated by a small team of volunteers. The leading religious organization also sought a system that would be cost effective which incorporating technology that would assist for their growth as a parish.

To assist with this, iVideo Technologies installed three Panasonic HE-120 pan-tilt-zoom cameras with remote control. All video sources run through a Panasonic AV-HS410 video switcher. The output goes to three Panasonic Projectors, a modulated feed to peripheral displays and a AJA Ki-Pro recorder and a Livestream system. iVideo worked closely with Lifepoint Church to provide detailed training and documentation for the volunteer centric organization. This close care has assisted in countless artistically run church services.

iVideo designs new, state of the art system for Maple Grove United Methodist Church

Maple Grove United Methodist Church came to iVideo Technologies to design and install a new audio / video system that would be both functional and aesthetically pleasing to maintain the historic view of the church. To accomplish this goal, iVideo installed a large motorized screen, a full scale high-definition projector and four direct view LCD monitors. The projector and screen where installed so that when they are not in use, they cannot be seen from the perspective of the sanctuary seating.

The video displays can show content from local computers, a universal player and/or a wireless control device. iVideo Technologies also upgraded the audio system which included replacing all microphones with a wireless microphone system, and a modernized mixing console. Working within the unique audio confines of the facility iVideo was able to provide a clear and state of the art system.

iVideo and Nestle’s 144,000 sq ft R&D Center

iVideo Technologies designed and engineered a complete audio/video solution for 22 independent technologies centers throughout Nestle’s new 144,000 square foot facility. iVideo outfitted a total of 10 small conference/break-out rooms, seven medium-sized huddle rooms, two large divisible presentation rooms, one large auditorium, the cafeteria and the main lobby entrance. This facility is one of the world’s leading food research and development centers and it relies heavily on the need for advanced audio / video communication tools.

In order to make this truly advanced facility, iVideo Technologies provided the complex programming tools need for the automation Nestle’s facility. The rooms required multiple source inputs and the ability for the system to auto-sense devices. The advanced system can also control multiple audio zones to allow for flexible room configurations and can command the projection system, screens, audio zones, microphones and multiple sources along with managing advanced audio conferencing functions. The control system was deployed in rooms requiring sophisticated functionality but the interface was very simple for users to operate and manage.

Advanced Classrooms for Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine

A leader in providing a patient-centered, clinically integrated medical education continuum, Ohio University chose iVideo Technologies to design and install the one of Ohio’s most technologically advanced osteopathic medical classrooms, faculty conference rooms, mock exam rooms and auditorium. The three story building features nearly a dozen electronic classrooms, which include 65” interactive touch displays paired with high output projectors that mirror the instructors content.

Nearly all of the advanced classrooms feature distance learning and lecture capture functionalities with the use of robotic PTZ cameras. In addition nearly a half dozen faculty conference rooms feature Polycom video conferencing system with PTZ cameras and mic arrays. Ohio University’s 126 seat capacity auditorium features push-to-talk microphone triggered PTZ cameras connected to distance learning and lecture capture systems. Boasting a 15,000 lumen projector and 16’ projection screen this space is one of the highlight features of the facility.

The building also features 11 mock exam rooms which can be remotely monitored with live audio and video, as well as give the college faculty the ability to talk back to the students via a point to point intercom system. This system also features an 11 channel network video recording system which is able to be viewed remotely in a completely HIPPA compliant network environment.

iVideo helps Parker Hannifin integrate latest AV technologies

Parker Hannifin is the global leader in motion and control technologies, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. Parker Hannifin approached iVideo Technologies for help in integrated the latest audio and video technologies into their new engineering facility in Macedonia, Ohio. iVideo Technologies was able to come up with a design that allowed Parker Hannifin to reuse some of Parker Hannifin’s existing audio and video technologies, and integrate them into the newer technologies design that iVideo Technologies proposed. This was a tremendous cost savings to Parker Hannifin.

iVideo Technologies moved four existing projectors along with two screens to the new location in the Tesla Room to allow them to access any HDMI input from the table and route to any desired projector. iVideo also updated the AV system to a complete Extron solution for both audio/video routing and control. Lastly, iVideo incorporated the client’s existing BiAmp Audio processor and added a VOIP interface to allow for digital calls.

The HMC lab was engineered with two new projectors installed along with two electric ceiling flush mounted screens along with an Extron control panel for ease of use. The unique design also incorporate 2x2 ceiling speakers into the ceiling grid and provided the use of a wireless display option from a laptop via Barco Click-Share. The Conference rooms had cable cubbys installed into the table along with cable retractors that pull the cable back into the box with a push of a button. This solution gave Parker Hannifan a clean work surface along with an ease of use to display to the local 55” monitor on the wall.

Most impressive was the visually stimulation 2x2 lobby video wall that was used to greet Parker Hannifan’s guests. The video wall is controlled by a touch screen to choose different sources of content. It is very easy to use for the end user to operate.

iVideo Completes an Advanced, Environmentally Friendly AV System for Safelite AutoGlass

iVideo Technologies recently finished the design and installation of a state of the art, “green” audio/video system for Safelite AutoGlass’s Iowa facility. The solution provided by iVideo Technologies utilized a Crestron control system and the latest industry energy saving technologies. iVideo Technologies utilized existing equipment to save the client money while incorporate many new components. iVideo’s engineers provided programming to match Safelite AutoGlass’ “standard” format. This provided the conference rooms with optimally functionality and made them easy to operate.

This award winning TV is a hybrid of digital signage technologies with exceptional television viewing quality panels. The LCD EzSign TV comes with software that allowed Safelite to create the signage content from their PC’s. This then displayed the content to the TVs without any additional hardware or technology. iVideo Technologies custom installation is visually pleasing with its clean lines, absence of wires and perfectly mounted displays.

The displays help to communicate with employees and visitors sharing basic information, way finding, special events, educational content, and emergency notifications.

Customized approach for Summa Health System

iVideo Technologies was responsible for the development of multiple conference facilities within Summa Health System. These unique rooms were custom design / build solutions which has provided the leading healthcare organization with advanced training rooms, meetings spaces, and an ability to conduct remote presentations. The office space was in Summa’s newly remodeled office center which provided the organization with a centralized office space.

The fully engineered and installed project by iVideo Technologies included one large room that could be configured into six small rooms, an outsized emergency department presentation room, two auditoriums, portable video conferencing carts, and multiple smaller conference rooms. Leading technologies from Crestron, Panasonic, Extron, Middle Atlantic, Cables2Go, and Clear-One were incorporated.

Through iVideo’s customized approach Summa was also provided with portable video conferencing carts can be brought into any room. The unique mobile centers allow Summa to provide remote recordings and broadcasting of medical surgeries, corporate communications, and live events.

New centrally managed digital signage system for Cleveland VA Hospital System

The Cleveland VA hospital system is a large network of health care institutions throughout Northern Ohio. This system recently selected iVideo Technologies to head a multi-phase roll out of its digital signage system. These digital signs served the VA’s main campus facilities as well as recent expansion to remote locations.

The iVideo Technologies digital signage network is centrally managed, allowing ease of use as well as sending a universal message throughout all facilities. Signs located in the common areas, hallways, and outside elevators served as instantly updating, easy to use directories and informational points. Displays advertise special events, educational seminars, and important announcements as well as showing high definition educational videos.

The centrally managed digital signage system allowed for multiple channels, empowering administrators to have the different facilities share what information they want, as well as allowing them to display things specific to their location. The simplicity of this system, combined with its versatility, made the implementation of these digital signs a large step towards increased productivity and user experience at the hospital.

iVideo and City Club of Cleveland create a state of the art control room

The City Club of Cleveland is the United States oldest, non-partisan free speech forum since 1912. In order the deliver that discussion through various mediums The City Club of Cleveland has had a long-standing partnership with WVIZ, the Public Broadcasting affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. WVIZ provides both radio and television broadcasts of The City Club’s notable Friday Forum as well as other forums and called on iVideo Technologies to assist in a 21st century facility.

The result of this effort is a state-of the art control room that can control HD Pan/Tilt/Focus/Zoom (PTZ) unitized cameras along with the incorporation of more traditional manned cameras enabling the Forum Room to have extensive capability and flexibility based upon the requirements of the event. The Sony BRC-H900 and PXW-X320 cameras are broadcast quality cameras, offering the same image quality. The PTZ cameras are permanently mounted in The Forum Room however there is additional connectivity throughout the room enabling the connection for the incorporation of additional PTZ cameras as well as manned cameras.

The state of the art control room consists of a Broadcast Pix Mica Video Production switcher, audio mixer, new multi-view monitoring system, AJA Video Router, Patch panels and Broadcast Pix/Inscriber graphics system. In addition to the new HD capabilities within the facility a new level of production was incorporated into the project. Through a combination of fiber and IP control WVIZ is able to receive audio and video as well as remotely interface with the equipment at The City Club. This remote capability includes control of the PTZ cameras, communication with the video router and other networked devices, enabling WVIZ to actually produce, switch and record the event at their facility. In addition, WVIZ is able to send audio and video back to The City Club.

As part of the project WVIZ purchased two Broadcast Pix Switchers, The Granite for one of their Control Rooms and the Mica for a portable production package. By investing in one manufacturer the ability to operate either series of production switchers makes it easier for the operators, enables a consistent brand and makes tech support and troubleshooting easier. iVideo Technologies proved to be a valuable resource for this project.
