iVideo Technologies Completes a Television Studio for Case Western Reserve University
iVideo Technologies led the design and integration of Case Western Reserve University’s state of the art high-definition television studio. The advanced television studio allows for the recording, editing, and broadcast of events on and off campus. The unique facility was designed and installed to be a “room within a room” layout, providing optimal space use for the client. Today, it is considered one of the most advanced educational television facilities in the country and will prove to be an asset to the university.
The facility includes two Sony HSC-100K cameras, a Miranda multiviewer, and a Grass Valley Trinix router. Over 9 miles of cable was used to complete the facility. In addition the high definition studio consisted of over 550 terminations on nearly 50 custom panels. The shop build up, allowing for minimal customer downtime and consisted of pre-wiring a 160 x 128 3G video router onto 12 patch panels. Additionally, this work included pre-wiring a 160 x 160 audio router onto 15 patch panels. Lastly, iVideo Technologies completed the relocation of CWRU’s Avid edit suite, allowing for the client to save costs by using existing equipment.
iVideo Technologies meticulous attention to detail and prior project experiences allowed the project to be completed to specification and on-time. Students at the university should be pleased to know they are working on equipment that some professional stations do not even have yet, building invaluable user experience. Case Western Reserve has a reputation as one of the nation’s top universities, the iVideo Technologies high definition television studio will further this reputation.
